Start Learning & Earning Badges in ELC's New Learning Library!
We are super excited to announce that ELJam has recently launched its practice studios, in partnership with theSpace (in Dunbar) and with various high schools across East Lothian.
Bands/acts can book in to rehearsal slots on Friday afternoons between 1 and 4pm and will be hosted by a professional musician. All equipment, including instruments, can be provided and mentoring is available for tips on playing, performing and writing music. We also aim to offer some recording/production facilities in future.
Dunbar Studios (at Dunbar Grammar) launched first on 22 November and Tranent (at Ross High) will have its drop-in launch event on Friday 10th January. Just pop in between 1 and 4pm to find out more.
We would like the studios to be spaces where young musicians can meet and form new bands or where bands and individual musicians can find each other, so we're hoping to have drop in sessions up and running soon and possibly some informal jam sessions as well. Each venue can develop its own programme and community, so if you want to get involved, make sure you get booked in and discuss your requirements with the mentors! If you want to take part but aren't ready to book just yet, click here just to register your interest.
