Skills of learning can be learned and developed. The better one knows their own learning style, the better learning outcomes they can achieve. Skills of learning are emphasized in both the Finnish curriculum (the transversal skills) and the IB curriculum (Approaches to Learning). Here is the list of most important Approaches to Learning (ATL) that are focused on in grades 1-3 and grades 4-6 in Ressu. The skills are categorized into five clusters by the IB:
