If you want to find out course number information or what teacher certification is required to teach a course, take a look at the course code directory information. If you want to know if your teacher is certified to teach a course, see the certification lookup website. Additional FLDOE resources are provided.
FLDOE Course Code Directory (CCD)
The CCD assists counselors, students and parents in schedule planning, provides course specific information including course level and length, and lists appropriate educator certification levels for courses. It allows schools, districts, and the state to identify courses by specific course number, thereby providing analogous information across various levels of administration and consistency in reporting.
The PK-12 Database manual site provides the resources to show what the state Student Information System reporting formats are and what each data element requires. Each year the state releases new information and updates state reporting requirements. All of the state required fields that we report on in Focus come from this site. For example, if you want to learn about a particular data element from course grades to an appendice that shows an Industry CErtification Identifier, this is the place to look.
Florida Automated System for Transferring Educational Records (FASTER)
The Florida Automated System for Transferring Educational Records (the "FASTER System") provides school districts, state colleges, universities and technical centers with the means to exchange transcripts and other student records electronically. It is an electronic mail system in which the "messages" are the requests for transcripts and the responses to these requests. Both requests and responses must follow predefined record formats and edit specifications.
