Data Leaders & Subject Matter Experts

Responsibilities of Department Heads as Data Leaders for the business capability:

• Define information procedures, processes, and best practices

• Possess decision rights on data accessibility and appropriate usage guidelines (note that Department Heads must approve all configuration changes in the data system).

• Communicate the value of data quality efforts

• Create and maintain master data records, information quality, and procedural documents

• Ensure that colleagues have timely access to data used in multiple systems

• Provide support and training to the users of the data or data system
