Report Cards & CAS
Throughout the 2 years of the Diploma Programme the mentors, in their capacity of CAS advisors will include notifications on the students progress in CAS on the end-of-semester reports. On the semester reports in December students and parents can see a general CAS progress indicator as assigned on their ManageBac CAS portfolio (eg: To be determined/Concern/On-track/Excellent), whereas on the April and end-of-year reports the mentor/CAS Advisor includes both a CAS status indicator and a written note.
Promotion Criteria DP 1 > DP2
In order to be promoted for DP 1 > DP 2 the student's CAS indicator needs to be "On-track". This is why it is important that any CAS concerns are addressed early during the DP1. CAS Advisers/ mentors will notify both parents and the CAS coordinator if their student is marked as "concern". If overall CAS status is on "Concern" after the DP1 end-of-year report, the mentor/CAS Advisor will notify in written both parents and urge student to meet the CAS coordinator for personalized advice on portfolio improvement.
CAS Advisers and CAS coordinator are in close contact at all times and do notify each other on any concerns on the student's CAS portfolio.
