There are 3 mandatory checkpoints or interviews with your mentor/CAS Advisor and/or CAS Coordinator.
Interview 1: October / November Y 12. Proposal of activities.
Interview 2: April / May Y 12. Check on progress.
Interview 3: February / March Yr 13. Exit interview.
Student will be Exceeding Expectations if following key performance indicators are met:
Quality of Proposals: At least 3 experiences have been approved to begin this term, all of which have goals, are well-planned and supervised. At least 2 of 3 CAS strands addressed.
Link to the LOs: All CAS experiences are linked to the correct learning outcomes and the link has been well explained.
Duration: All experiences on portfolio are long-term experiences.
Supervision: All experiences on portfolio have an agreed supervisor.
Preparation: Student leads interview, shows outstanding preparation, is well rehearsed, and organized.
CAS project: CAS project is suitable and well planned and the 5 stages of CAS are referred to (see CAS project page).
Overall progress: High quality of proposals and interview.
Student will be Exceeding Expectations if following key performance indicators are met:
Portfolio: A balanced portfolio of min 7 experiences from all 3 CAS strands documented on MB thoroughly through evidence and rounded reflections
LOs: All LOs have been tackled under reflections and orally during interview.
Duration: All experiences on portfolio are long-term experiences and planned for completion before the 3rd CAS interview.
Supervision: All experiences on portfolio have an agreed supervisor.
Preparation: Impressive CAS portfolio and student comfortably leads the interview process.
CAS project: Student has already successfully completed one or more CAS Projects to a really high standard.
Quality of reflections & evidence: Reflections and oral interview show passion toward CAS programme.
Student will be Exceeding Expectations if following key performance indicators are met:
Portfolio: A balanced portfolio of min 7 experiences from all 3 CAS strands documented on MB thoroughly through evidence and rounded reflections.
LOs: All 7 LOs have been tackled under reflections and orally during interview.
Duration: Overall duration of CAS portfolio spans over 18 consecutive months, verified by graphic on ManageBac.
Supervision: All experiences on portfolio have an agreed supervisor who has signed off
Preparation: All experiences/projects have been signed off, reviewed and marked as completed by supervisor.
CAS project: Student has successfully complted several CAS Projects by now.
Overall evaluation: Student earns a passing grade for CAS.
