Make-A-Wish Switzerland

Make-A-Wish Foundation of Switzerland & Liechtenstein grants the most heartfelt wishes of children aged between 3 and 18 living with a serious medical condition to give them Hope, Strength and Joy.

A child’s life shouldn’t be about illness, hospitals and diagnosis – it should be about wonder, joy and hope.

Sometimes, when you are really not well, your dreams become even more important than ever. At Make-A-Wish we work to make these dreams come true for children who have been robbed of their right to a carefree childhood.

We ensure that every child, in the company of their family, experiences the most magical of moments, because, as the author Cesar Pavese wrote, “We do not remember days, we remember moments”.

Make-A-Wish is all about providing unique and treasured moments to very ill children. Moments which will allow them to forget their illness for a while and provide them with beautiful and cherished memories.

Getting tips from Roger Federer, panning for gold, flying over the Alps in a helicopter, seeing the sea for the first time, meeting a celebrity hero, being a Chef for a day, or meeting a Nobel physicist at Cern; our wishes are unique and, most importantly, magical.

We work closely with doctors and healthcare professionals throughout Switzerland who refer the children to us. We know what wishes do, and this is the driving force behind why we continue to do what we do to reach out to more and more ill children in Switzerland.

The Ecole Internationale de Genève is pleased to announce the expansion of ENCORE Performing Arts.

ENCORE Performing Arts Academy inspires confident and happy young people through disciplined professional performing arts training, giving students a safe and inclusive environment to express themselves with encore plus de creativity, encore plus de mastery, and encore plus de fun.

ENCORE Performing Arts Academy guides students of all ages and skill levels in four types of weekly activities:

The Ecolint Music School offers a high level of musical instruction to children and adults. Our diverse Music School faculty are established performers and pedagogues who have received their musical education from the top conservatories and universities in Europe, North America, South America and Asia.

The Music School connects students with world-class instrumental teachers, a first step in creating independent young musicians. Through weekly private lessons, students receive an individualized programme based on their learning style and personal goals giving them the tools to reach their highest potential. PROJET EN GUINÉE-CONAKRY 2023 - ANNÉE 12 (CAS)

Pour la sixième année, LGB en collaboration avec Nouvelle-Planète (http://www.nouvelle-planete.ch/), organise un projet d'entraide dans un pays du sud pour partager la vie d'un village durant une dizaine de jours et pour découvrir une culture différente.

Le projet 2023 aura lieu en Guinée-Conakry et se déroulera du 15 au 25 février 2023. Ce nouveau projet prévoit la mise en place d’une infrastructure d’adduction d’eau potable afin de faciliter l’accès des villageois à cette ressource pour leurs besoins quotidiens. Le projet aura lieu dans un village rural de la région de Kindia (à 200 km de la capitale Conakry), dépourvu d’électricité, d’eau courante et de réseau wi-fi.

PROJECT IN GUINEA-CONAKRY 2023 - YEAR 12 (CAS)

For the sixth year, LGB in collaboration with Nouvelle-Planète (http://www.nouvelle-planete.ch/), organizes a mutual aid project in a southern country to share the life of a village for about ten days and to discover a different culture.

The 2023 project will take place in Guinea-Conakry and will run from February 15th to 25th, 2023. This new project provides for the establishment of drinking water supply infrastructure

to facilitate villagers' access to this resource for their daily needs. The project will take place in a rural village in the Kindia region (200 km from the capital

Conakry), without electricity, running water and wi-fi network.

Un nouveau projet au Cambodge sera organisé du 6 au 15 avril 2023 et est ouvert à tou.te.s les élèves de 12^ème année. Ce projet prévoit un échange avec les élèves de l’école Saek Thmey ( https://www.ecole-saekthmey.com/ ) créée par le Dr Pierre Hourst à Siem Reap, en 2014. La deuxième partie du voyage emmènera nos élèves sur les routes du Cambodge pour découvrir les merveilles de la région de Siem Reap.

NEW CULTURAL PROJECT IN CAMBODIA – APRIL 2023 – YEAR 12 (CAS)

A new project in Cambodia will be organized from April 6th to 15th 2023 and is open to all 12th students. This project provides for an exchange

with the students of the Saek Thmey school ( https://www.ecole-saekthmey.com/ ) created by Dr Pierre Hourst in Siem Reap in 2014. The second part of the trip will take our students on the roads

of Cambodia to discover the wonders of the Siem Reap region.
