Shoutout to Ms. Duvall who planned our Crawfish on the Bayou for the senior class. Thanks to all of the people who helped make this event special for the seniors!
Congratulations to Jeremiah Brown, a sophomore at Liberty Magnet, who was accepted to the NYFL: Medicine program this summer. Jeremiah also serves as a member of the JROTC program.
Special thanks to Coach White and Coach Haynes who made today's Spring Signing Ceremony a special and successful event. These seniors signed scholarships allowing them to play the game they love, get an education, and avoid student loan debt. Alacia Smith, Trinity Bell, Joe Ayo, Jordan Coates, and Deja Marsh
Friday, we celebrated our honored students in the Spring 2021 Awards Program. While we couldn't have family and friends with us (the program was live streamed), we were able to recognize and celebrated.
Check out the 2021 Awards Ceremony on YouTube. Special shoutout to Mr. Hilliard and his team of broadcasting students who livestreamed both the awards program and signing ceremony.
Spring Athletic Signing - the beginning of the ceremony did not make the recording, but the signing event and the family celebrations are captured in the YouTube broadcast.
Important Information
School-Site Vaccination Event
Students 16 & older will have an opportunity to get their first vaccination shot on campus on May 13th (9:00 - 12:00) through a program with the Mayor-President's office. Information about permission slips and guidelines will be coming next week.
Getting students vaccinated is a major step in returning school to a sense of normalcy. Students who complete vaccination (both shots) are not required to quarantine, cutting down on interruptions to learning.
Monday's Alternate Schedule
Monday, May 3, only AP Government students and Dual Enrollment Spanish students will be on campus for AP and DE testing.
All other students will log into LIVE classes virtual. Please note that classes will be held LIVE, so students must log in on time and most teachers will continue class virtually (unless they are a test administrator).
Spring Testing Schedule
UPDATE: Due to the number of students taking the AP Government test, only students testing in AP Government or Spanish Dual Enrollment 1102 & 2102 will attend on campus Monday, May 3. All classes will be held LIVE online. Students are expected to be logged in to each class for instruction and assignments at the regularly scheduled time.
