SPOTLIGHTS

Athletic Excellence

Congratulations to sophomore Kaleb Jackson who received his first offer from Florida State! Kaleb's interest is sure to grow as Liberty starts playing varsity football in August for the first time since its reopening.

"Crushing It"

Check out Mr. J. Miller's Chemistry classes in the lab today crushing cans by using the gas laws. Students went through multiple steps to observe changes (or no changes) in cans under various circumstances.

JROTC VEX Robotics Program

Vertical Robotics Grant

JROTC was awarded a Bell Vertical Robotics grant. The grant will allow for an indoor drone field to be built for practice and competition in the C-WOW space.

State Robotics Competition

The JROTC Robotics Team placed 1st in the state in Friday's competition. The team has qualified for the VEX National Competition! Congratulations to the team and the instructors!!!

Mascot Madness

This week Liberty was named the 2021 Neighbors Credit Union Mascot Madness Winner! We won the final voting round by over 300 votes! Thanks to the teachers, students, and supporters who voted over the 3 week competition!

The Mascot Debit Card is a no hassle way to support the school. Schools that have between 1-100 accounts earn 5 cents for every card swipe. Schools that have over 100 accounts earn 10 cents for every card swipe. Liberty currently has 63 active accounts and earned $275 in donations during our first quarter. If we get to 101 accounts, the estimate is closer to $1,000 per quarter earned.

Spring Dress Code Reminders

Included is a flyer with reminders about prohibited dress code items that are becoming more prevalent as the weather warms.

It is important to note that nothing on this flyer is new or a change to the current dress code policy. These are reminders for some issues the staff are managing, especially the reminders that are underlined.

Students who are dressed in a manner that violates dress code must be picked up or have a change of clothes brought to school. Students with inappropriate tops (crop tops, spaghetti straps, tank tops) must have a change of clothes, not just a jacket.

Our most consistent offenses right now are female students wearing crop top shirts that exposes their midriff, and students wearing leggings.
