Unit 7: Grade 6 Lessons

This 3 day lesson has students using a variety of visual tools and concrete models to develop their reasoning about how fractions can be combined through addition with a focus on linear models.

This lesson extends from "Pieces and Parts", asking students to investigate dot images to problem solve four fractions of four whole numbers with a manimum sum.
