Minitest-4 Circular

Dear Parents, 

Kindly note the following regarding the fourth summative examination (Minitest-4) of the 2nd term for the current academic year 2023-2024:

The school timing for students will be as follows:

• Monday to Wednesday - 03/06 to 05/06:

  • • Grades Pre-Kg to 12: The school timing will end at 01:00 pm.

• Thursday - 05/06:

  • • Grades Pre-Kg to 3: The school timing will end at 01:00 pm.

    • Grades 4 to 12: The school timing will end at 10:00 am.

• Friday - 07/06:

  • • Grades Pre-Kg to 12: The school timing will end at 10:00 am.

• Monday to Thursday - 10/06 to 13/06:

  • • Grades Pre-Kg to 3: The school timing will end at 01:00 pm.

    • Grades 4 to 12: The school timing will end at 10:00 am.

• Friday - 14/06:

  • • Grades 1 to 12: The school timing will end at 10:00 am.

The exemptions list for the fourth mini-test will be announced on Monday, June 03, 2024, at 02:30 through direct phone calls with the parents.

Grades 1 to 3: There will be no exams for these grades and the evaluation will be continuous during the term.

Grades 4 to 12: The fourth mini-test of the 2nd term will be conducted during the period from Thursday, June 06 till Friday, June 14, 2024. (08:00 to 10:00 am)

The required procedures to be followed before the exam: 

• 1. View the required material and the examination schedule of the fourth mini-test on the school management system. 

  2. Grades 4 to 12: View the homework plan and Google Classroom to check the timing and the required material for the writing exams for Arabic and English subjects.

  3. The fourth mini-test will include the material covered between Monday, February 26, 2024, and Friday, May 31, 2024.

  4. The fourth mini-test weights 20% of the total mark of the 2nd term.

  5. The allotted time for students in grades 4 to 12 will be 60 mins, except for AP courses the allotted time will be 90 mins.

  6. No one is allowed to take the ONLINE EXAM except for students with chronic diseases. These cases should be proven on the school management system and approved by the administration through the Health and Safety Officer Ms. Shatha Ali (0529551222).

  7. Students must update their devices' system including (ClassLink & Dubai National School Assessment Apps) and disable any VPN connection.

  9. The exam can not be done on any devices with the Android operating system or Huawei devices.

The required procedures to be followed during the exam: 

• Before the exam starting time:

  2. 1. Students must bring their own devices, check their internet connection signal, and ensure that they can log in to ClassLink and then to DNS Assess (NLP) to do the assigned exam.

• During the exam:

  2. 1. Click on the Attempt button to start the exam.

     2. Read the instructions in the popup screen carefully before start solving the exam then press the Agree button.

     3. Do not leave the app or the browser because it will be considered a cheating attempt, which will be added automatically to the student's report. The student will get a zero mark in case of cheating or attempting to cheat.

• At the end of the exam:

  2. 1. Students must review all answers, then press the End Test button then wait for the confirmation message.

     2. Students are not allowed to close the exam without their proctor's confirmation.

Absence Policy during Exams:

• 2. When students are absent for a test, they are permitted to be retested in the school only if they have a valid excuse that is accepted by the administration. The date and time of the test will be determined by the school administration.

  3. Students who do not have a valid excuse will receive a zero mark on the test.
