Dear Parents,
We hope that you and your families are all in good health.
Kindly note the following regarding the second summative examination (Minitest-2) of the first term for the current academic year 2021-2022:
All students will return back to school for face-to-face learning on Monday 24 January 2022. They should adhere to preventive measures and safety instructions, and wear their masks at all times. Wearing N95 mask is preferable and students are advised to have a spare mask for emergency cases. Strict measures will be taken with any student who violates the safety procedures and protocol.
Grades 1 to 3 & R1 to R4: There will be no minitest-2 for theses grades.
Evaluation will be continuous and the term final mark will be an accumulation of the student’s marks in all formative assessments and the marks of minitest-1.
Grades 4 to 12:
The second mini test of the 1st term will be conducted during the period from Monday 24 January till Friday 28 January 2022 during the Zero Period.
Minitest-2 will be administered in-school as per the examination schedule and required material that was shared with you on Wednesday 15 December 2021.
No one is allowed to take the ONLINE EXAM except for the following cases: students who are diagnosed with Covid-19, students who are close contacts to a positive case or students with chronic diseases. These cases should be proven on the school management system and approved by the administration through the Health and Safety Officer Ms. Shatha Ali (0529551222).
Minitest-2 exams will include the material covered between Sunday 10 October and Thursday 09 December 2021.
Minitest-2 has a weight of 20% of the total mark of 1st term.
The alloted time for students in grades 4 to 12 will be 50 mins.
The required procedures to be followed by students:
Before the exam:
Students must update their devices system including (ClassLink & Dubai National School Assessment Apps) and disable any VPN connection.
Students must bring their own devices, check their internet connection signal and ensure that they can log in to ClassLink then to DNS Assess (NLP) to do the assigned exam.
During the exam:
Click on the Attempt button to start the exam.
Read the instructions in the popup screen carefully before start solving the exam then press on the Agree button.
Avoid leaving the app or the browser because it will be considered as a cheating attempt, which will be added automatically to the student's report.
At the end of the exam:
Students must review all answers then press on the End Test button then wait for the confirmation message.
Students are not allowed to close the exam without their proctor confirmation.
Absence Policy during Exams:
When students are absent for a test, they are permitted to be retested in the school only if they have a valid excuse that is accepted by the administration. The date and time of the test will be determined by the school administration.
Students who do not have a valid excuse will receive a zero mark on the test.
