Minitest-1 Circular

Dear Parents,

We hope that you and your families are all in good health.

Kindly note the following regarding the first summative examination (Minitest-1) of the first term for the current academic year 2021-2022:

1. Grades 1 to 12:

   • The first mini test of the 1st term will be conducted during the period from Sunday 24 October till Thursday 28 October 2021 at 08:40 AM.

   • Minitest-1 will be administered in-school as per the examination schedule and required material that was shared with you on Sunday 10 October 2021.

   • Minitest-1 exams will include the material covered between Sunday 29 August and Thursday 07 October 2021.

   • Minitest-1 has a weight of 20% of the total mark of 1st term.

   • The alloted time for grades 1 to 3 will be 45 mins and the alloted time for grades 4 to 12 will be 50 mins.

2. The required procedures to be followed by students:

   • Before the exam:

     • Grades 1 to 3 exams will be paper based and grades 4 to 12 will be in-school online exams

     • Grades 4 to 12:

       1. Students must update their devices system including ClassLink app and disable any VPN connection.

       2. Students must check their internet connection signal, and ensure that they can log in to Google Classroom or any other platforms to do the assigned exam.

       3. Students must refer back to the section supervisor in case of any login issue.

       4. Students must know that Google Classroom is the main platform for minitest-1 for grades 4 to 12 except the following:

          • Mathematics Course:

            1. Mathematics for grades 4 and 5: ThinkCentral Platform.

            2. Mathematics for grades 6 to 10: MY-HRW Platform.

            3. PreCalculus: Pearson Platform.

          • Science Courses:

            1. AP Chemistry and Chemistry: Mcgraw Hill Platform.

          • Computer Courses:

            1. Computer Science (IOT), Computer Science Fundamentals and Programming: Schoology Platform.

          • Business Courses:

            1. Accounting and Entrepreneurship: Mcgraw Hill Platform.

2. • At the end of the exam:

     • Grades 4 to 12:

       1. Students must review all answers then press on the submission button then wait for the confirmation message.

       2. Students are not allowed to close the exam without their proctor confirmation.

3. Absence Policy during Exams:

   • When students are absent for a test, they are permitted to be retested in the school only if they have a valid excuse that is accepted by the administration. The date and time of the test will be determined by the school administration.

   • Students who do not have a valid excuse will receive a zero mark on the test.
