Dear Parents,
Kindly note the following regarding the second summative examination (Test-2) of the 1st term for the current academic year 2024-2025:
The school timing for students in grades Pre-KG to 12 will end at 01:00 p.m. from Monday, January 20 till Wednesday, January 29, 2025, except Friday the school time will end at 11:20 a.m.
Thursday, January 30, and Friday, January 31 will be days off for students. School will resume on Monday, February 03, 2025.
Grades Pre-KG to 3: There will be no exams for these grades and the evaluation will be continuous during the term.
Grades 4 to 12:
Test-2 of the 1st term will be conducted from Monday, January 20 till Wednesday, January 29, 2025, according to the Zero Period timetable.
Writing Tests will be conducted in Arabic and English courses according to the attached exam schedule in the school's management system.
The required procedures to be followed before the exam:
View the required material and the examination schedule of Test-2 on the school's management system.
Test-2 will include the material covered between Monday, October 07, 2024, and Friday, January 10, 2025.
Test-2 weighs 20% of the total mark of the 1st term.
The allotted time for students in grades 4 to 12 will be 60 mins, except for AP courses the allotted time will be 90 mins.
Students must update their devices' system including (ClassLink & Dubai National School Assessment Apps) and disable any VPN connection.

The exam can not be done on any devices with the Android operating system or Huawei devices.
The required procedures to be followed during the exam:
Before the exam starting time:
Students must bring their own devices, check their internet connection signal, and ensure that they can log in to ClassLink and then to DNS Assess (NLP) to do the assigned exam.
During the exam:
Click on the Attempt button to start the exam.
Read the instructions in the popup screen carefully before start solving the exam then press the Agree button.
Avoid leaving the app or the browser because it will be considered a cheating attempt, which will be added automatically to the student's report. The student will get a zero mark in case of cheating or attempting to cheat.
At the end of the exam:
Students must review all answers, then press the End Test button then wait for the confirmation message.
Students are not allowed to close the exam without their proctor's confirmation.
Absence Policy during Exams:
When students are absent for a test, they are permitted to be retested only if they have a sick leave attested from DHA/MOH.
Students who do not have a valid excuse will receive a zero mark on the test.
