คำศัพท์ที่ควรรู้

the center of the town (ใจกลางเมือง)

outside of the town (นอกเมือง)

the North (ทิศเหนือ)

the South (ทิศใต้)

beyond (ที่อยู่ห่างออกไป)

enormous (ใหญ่มาก)

heritage (มรดก, ประเพณีที่สืบทอดกันมา)

heritage tourism (การท่องเที่ยวเชิงวัฒนธรรม)

ในการให้บริการการท้องเที่ยวผู้ให้บริการจําเป็นต้องมีความรู้เกี่ยวกับแหล่งท่องเที่ยว ต่าง ๆ อย่างน้อยควรตอบบอกข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับที่ตั้งของแหล่งท่องเที่ยว ต่าง ๆ ได้ ในการบอก ที่ตั้งของแหล่งท่องเที่ยวต่าง ๆ ควรมีความรู้ในสิ่งต่อไปนี้

1. ศัพท์ สํานวน ประโยคที่บอกทําเลที่ตั้งของแหล่งท่องเที่ยว เช่น

It's situated outside of the town.

in the North.

in town.

in the center of the town.

etc.

2. การบอกตําแหน่งที่ตั้งของแหล่งท่องเที่ยว

2.1 การบอกตําแหน่งที่ตั้งตามภูมิศาสตร์ เช่น

- Rayong is located on the east coast.

- Trat is the easternmost Thai province edging the of Thailand.

- Oasis Sea World is located at Tambon Pak Nam, Amphoe Laem Sing.Chantaburi Province.

2.2 การบอกระยะทาง เช่น

- Laem Sing Cape is 31 kilometers from Chantaburi town on Sukhumvit Highway, take right turn at km.347.

- Sarika Waterfall is located about 15 kilometers east of Nakhon Nayok, along Route 3050.

- Nong Nooch Tropical Garden is only about 15 minutes east of pattaya.

• Phra Tamnak Phu Phing is 4 kilometers beyond Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. (พระตำหนักภูพิงค์ราชนิเวศน์อยู่ห่างไปจากวัดพระธาตุดอยสุเทพ 4 กิโลเมตร)

2.3 การบอกทำเล / ตำแหน่งที่ตั้งของแหล่งท่องเที่ยว เช่น

Ao Pakarang Beach is farthest beach on Koh Samed Island.

(หาดอ่าวปะการังเป็นชายหาดที่ห่างไกลที่สุดบนเกาะเสม็ด)

Chiang Mai Zoo is located at Tambon Suthep, Amphoe Muang, Chiangmai Province.

(สวนสัตว์เชียงใหม่ตั้งอยู่ที่ตำบลสุเทพ อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดเชียงใหม่)

Tourist : Where is Khaosn Road ? (ถนนนข้าวสารอยู่ที่ไหน)

Guide : It’s located in the Banglamphu area about 1 kilometer north of the Grand Palace.

(อยู่ในเขตบางลำภู ไปทางด้านเหนือของพระบรมมหาราชวังประมาณ 1 กิโลเมตร)

หรือใช้สำนวน It’s situated …….. บอกทำเลที่ตั้ง เช่น

It’s situated in the center of the town. (ตั้งอยู่ใจกลางเมือง)

It’s situated in the South. (ตั้งอยู่ทางใต้)

3. สิ่งที่น่าสนใจของแหล่งท่องเที่ยว (Tourism Attractions)

ในการให้บริการการท่องเที่ยว ผู้ให้บริการควรมีความรู้เกี่ยวกับสถานที่ท่องเที่ยว ของจังหวัดต่าง ๆ ได้แก่

3.1 ศัพท์ สํานวนที่ใช้บอกเกี่ยวกับสิ่งที่น่าสนใจของแหล่งท่องเที่ยว ได้แก่

famous = มีชื่อเสียง

famous for = มีชื่อเสียงในเรื่อง

important = สําคัญ

religious = เกี่ยวกับศาสนา

religion = ศาสนา

center = ศูนย์กลาง

meditation = การนั่งสมาธิ

pleaceful = สงบ

3.2 ความสําคัญของแหล่งท่องเที่ยว (importance) เช่น

Wat Khao Sukim is a religious center for meditation in a tranguil and tree shaded atmosphere.

(วัดเขาสุกิมเป็นศูนย์รวมในการนั่งสมาธิของชาวพุทธในบรรยากาศที่ร่มรื่นตามธรรมชาติ)

King Taksin The Great's Monument is the statue of the King who restored Thailand from Burma.

(อนุสาวรีย์พระเจ้าตากสินมหาราชกษัตริย์ผู้กอบกู้เอกราชคืนมาจากพม่า)

3.3 บอกความงดงามของแหล่งท่องเที่ยว เช่น

Ko Samet is one of the most famouse islands with beautiful beaches and white sans.

(เกาะเสม็ดเป็นเกาะที่มีชื่อเสียงเกาะหนึ่งว่ามีหาดทรายขาวสวย)

3.4 บอกลักษณะพิเศษของแหล่งท่องเที่ยว เช่น

Khuk Khi Khai is a building built by the Frech in the year 112 of rattanakosin Era for keeping Thai prisoners. (คุกขี้ไก่เป็นคุกที่สร้างโดยประเทศฝรั่งเศส สร้างขึ้นในปี 112 เพื่อใช้ขังนักโทษไทย)

Jomtien is a major residential area with beachside hotel, bangalow complexs, condominiums

and restaurants. (หาดจอมเทียนเป็นพื้นที่ที่มีที่พักทั้งโรงแรม , บังกาโล , คอนโดมิเนียม และร้านอาหารอยู่บริเวณชายหาด)
