Students will explore narrative writing through the creation of a comicstrip using Pixton. Their topic: becoming a millionaire.
Success Criteria:
I will complete my graphic organizer
I will base my comic off of becoming a millionaire
I will include a beginning, a middle, and an ending
I will create a setting by writing about who, what, where, and when
I will create a problem
I will solve the problem
I will include details and descriptions
I will include full sentences
I will use at least 6 comic panels
I will ensure that my work is school appropriate
I will revise my work for spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors
Chinese Immigration Act 1885 and Canada's Diversity
Students will learn about impacts the Chinese Immigration Act of 1885 had on Chinese-Canadian. Students will also have the opportunity to research about their own culture and heritage and how it has been represented in Canada.
