Through the lens of inquiry students will understand the difficulties faced by the people who settled western Canada.

Instructions:

1. Choose ONE inquiry topic from the list provided

2. Use the websites give to help you through your research. Remember to use credible sources!

3. Use the graphic organizer and questions to guide you through your inquiry research

4. Add to your graphic organizer and additional information you found: facts, pictures (please describe the image)

Literacy

Students will create and perform a 30 second public service announcement (PSA) that they believe the world needs to hear right now. They will work through the organizer assigned to them, and use WeVideo in order to record their PSA and then submit their assignment through Google Classroom. They will also join our Newsela classroom and have a reading about what it means to "flatten the curve" and associated response questions and mini quiz.

Math

This week we are continuing our work with pattern rules, algebra, and graphing. There is a reference sheet to begin the week along with a desmos activity on Tuesday.

Thursday - review thus far

Friday - a knowledgehook gameshow to participate in live - at 1 pm, and some additional graphing and pattern rule questions to complete

Music

There is a listening response activity - courtesy of Harknett music - that involves a couple of listening exercises with accompanying questions. Take 2 weeks to complete this.
