Monday, April 6
Create a Playlist
Choose 5 songs that represent your life. Write down the title, who they are by, and justify why you chose them to represent your life. Create this playlist and use your name as the title.
Tuesday, April 7
Step into My Shoes Narrative
Choose your favourite pair of shoes that you own. Use detail to describe what they look like and what a day in their life looks like, before social distancing. Some questions to answer include: What are they doing? How are they feeling? Where are they going?
Wednesday, April 8
Name Etymology
Do you ever wonder what your name means? Here’s your chance to find out! Look up the origin (etymology) of your name. Once you’ve looked it up, answer the following: What does it mean? Why do you think you were named this? If you can change your name, what would you change it to and why?
Thursday, April 9
Childhood Story
Everyone has a favourite story that they heard when they were younger. Maybe it’s still your favourite story! What makes this story your favourite? Your task is to use your imagination to recreate this story by giving it a twist while keeping the moral the same. You might want to consider changing the setting, characters, etc. Once you have finished, orally retell the story to someone in your home.
This is your problem for the week. Go ahead and solve it! Take your time, use your strategies! Solution will be posted on Thursday.
Tuesday/Wednesday. Moving ahead with patterning. Reference the text and complete questions 3 - 12. Try 13 and remember about exponents.
Wednesday/Thursday - writing the general pattern rule - do #3 - 14
Students will learn about the important of 4 major events in Canad's history to aim in the development of Western Canada.

This week we will be preparing for and taking the FLUIDS unit test. There will be two parts to the week. You may join one of two review online ZOOM sessions with Mr. J on Monday or Tuesday at 1pm-1:45pm and then take a modified version of your FLUIDS unit test online on Thursday.
