Homophones

In this lesson, you will learn the differences between some commonly misspelled words.

Homophones

Knowing your parts of speech will help you differentiate between homophones, words that sound the same but are spelled different and mean different things. Knowing the difference between homophones will improve your reading and writing fluency.

Please read through the homophone lesson and study guides below. Go slowly, and make sure you really understand each concept before moving on to the next section.

Once you feel like you understand all of the concepts, try taking the quiz at the bottom of the page.
