World War II

The Last World War

WWII started in 1939 and ended in 1945, but not before 50 million people had died. Many countries were involved, and many countries were left devastated by the destruction left behind.

Start of the War

In 1939, a Hitler-led Germany invaded Poland as a first step towards taking over the world to make room for the Aryan race.

Axis Powers

Germany, Japan, and Italy teamed up against the rest of the world for Hitler's cause as the Axis Powers.

Allied Powers

The US, Great Britain, and France fought to free the Jews and fight the Nazis as the Allied Powers.

End of the War

In 1945, the US contributed to the end of the war by dropping two nuclear bombs in Japan.
