Bancroft @ Sharpe Swing Space

Project Overview 

Sharpe Health School is a DCPS swing space located in Ward 6. In order to proactively address overutilization at Bancroft Elementary School, DCPS will be hosting Bancroft's Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4 students at Sharpe during School Years 2025-26 and 2026-27. DCPS will provide swing space transportation between the Bancroft ES and Sharpe buildings for pick-up and drop-off. Before and after-care will continue to be hosted at the Bancroft ES building. 

DCPS and District Leadership recently announced plans to convert a nearby building (3149 16th Street NW) into a new Bancroft Early Childhood Education (ECE) Annex. More information about these plans will be shared as it becomes available.
