Project Overview
Browne Education Campus is an approximately 127,000 square foot building located on the Ward 5 "Hilltop Campus," adjacent to Langley Golf Course and near the National Arboretum. The building houses a program for neighborhood students starting in Pre-K and carrying through 8th grade. The existing facility is made up of wings built in 1932, 1935, 1953, and 1971. As a part of the modernization, all but the 1953 wing will be transformed into a fully-fledged 21st century learning facility, and will include gymnasium space, updated playground, and more. This project is pursuing both LEED Gold and WELL certification for the modernized building.
