A MESSAGE FROM
Principal Santos
The last two weeks of school before the winter break are always two of my favorite. We began celebrating our staff last week with our 12 days before holiday break! We want to give a HUGE shout-out to PTO for donating their time and resources to help us coordinate the event this year and to our Girl Scout Parent Volunteers, Solar League and Friends of Solar Prep for supporting this awesome event! We know the huge responsibility given to educators and school personnel, especially over the last two years. At Solar, we have the most amazing staff who goes above and beyond the call of duty each day to create the most amazing learning experiences for our Trailblazers. We are proud to celebrate our staff and the work that they do. To our Solar Families: from your contributions to Dollar Dress Days and North Texas Giving Day to attending Movie Nights and selling Girl Scout cookies - your support of our community organizations helps us give all of our staff the celebration that they deserve. Thank you!!
We want to give a BIG congratulations to our 2021 Teacher of the year, Ms. Bethany Seagroves. Ms. Seagroves leads our Specials Team this year, and teaches Makerspace and PLTW courses. She is also our campus student activities coordinator and our STEAM Friday coordinator and is an all around amazing innovator and leader. We want to celebrate her and show her some Solar love for this awesome accomplishment! Find out more about what she does and how to contact her here!
