A MESSAGE FROM
Principal Santos
Yay for the fall weather that has finally graced us with its presence! I hope you were able to spend some time outdoors enjoying the weather.
We would like to give a shout-out to the 5th grade team who won the Hispanic Heritage Hallway Contest! 2nd and 3rd place went to 3rd grade and Kinder/Pre-K. Thanks to all the amazing volunteers for your contributions with this project!
As we move into October, please ensure that you have reached out to your child's teachers to schedule parent conferences. All conferences will be virtual. Please call the main office with any questions regarding parent conferences.
Check out who has been celebrated this month!
Bridget Ladipo
Mrs. Ladipo really went the extra mile with addressing the issues that my daughter and I have been facing. As well as going the extra mile to help my daughter feel confident.
Donita White
Mrs. White has gone the extra mile by answering my numerous emails, and ensuring that my daughter’s transition into Solar is successful.
Jacqueline Gonzalez
For her first year at Solar, she sure knows what she’s doing!!!! Ms. Gonzalez provides the right amount of structure with love. I know this because my daughter isn’t the easiest - maybe me not so much either ;) - and can easily get distracted and off track but has the biggest heart and is eager to learn through her millions of questions a day. It takes a special kind of teacher to manage her and keep her on track. LOTS and LOTS OF PATIENCE!!! Ms. Gonzalez must be providing the perfect amount of love and structure, because this student is giving her raving reviews at home! Solar, you picked a good one, so make sure you keep this one around 💜
Marisa Swanson
Our family appreciates the welcoming environment you create in the classroom. My daughter was so excited about Swanny bucks too!
I appreciate Ms. Swanson’s approachability and her cooperation to work with parents to meet the needs of her students.
Gabriela Armijo
She’s super responsive to parent and scholar needs! She’s also motivated our scholar to prioritize writing. So fun to see her grow!
Patty Kim
I really appreciate how Ms. Kim "fusses over" my third grader and helps her to feel comfortable with who she is and how she expresses herself through art! She always liked art but now, she loves it!
Vivian Rosales & Elizabeth Cuevas
They went above and beyond to help cover my class and are always so helpful and kind to me and everyone they encounter! Thank you!
Maribel Webster
I always email the person I need a response from and CC Ms. Webster, Well Ms. Webster always answers in a timely manner. Always a helpful and caring person!
Haley Ribeiro
I would like to celebrate Ms. Ribeiro - you are truly appreciated!
Donita White
Long overdue appreciation for Ms White for taking time to talk with my daughter about an incident at school. My daughter was really concerned about the situation. Ms White talked with her and encouraged her for being conscientious. That conversation went a long way in not only helping her grow, but also feel "seen" and supported. Thank you, Ms White!
Car Line Staff
I don't think it can be said enough, how grateful I am to every loving welcoming staff member who greets my daughter at car line in the morning! You all are amazing and your smiles and kindness make a HUGE difference! Thank you!
Erica Campos
Thank you for always being helpful and having a positive attitude!!
We are so excited for the book fair. Thanks Ms. Campos for making this a possibility and making adjustments during a pandemic to keep our girls safe while doing one of the things that they LOVE them most!
