Central Valley Academy is saying goodbye to some of our beloved staff members as they retire after the 2023 - 2024 school year. Over the years our staff members have worked with a variety of students and formed many relationships. However, every good thing must come to an end, and we have asked these staff members to leave us with one final thought as they say goodbye and sail off into the sunset.

Ms. D. Forte - Math Teacher
"In your lifetime there will be numerous situations in which you have to make a choice. Some choices will be easy and some will be difficult. Some choices will have a small impact on your life and some will have a great impact on your life. Some choices will need to be made quickly and some can wait. In all situations, and at all times, please choose to be KIND."
Ms. Jenkins - Art Teacher
"Think of an apple, round and sweet, juicy and delicious!
Apples have long been a representation of knowledge and wisdom. The tradition of giving one to a teacher meant students acknowledged the importance of education in their lives."
"While your core courses are represented by the seeds at the core of an apple - without which the future would have no more apples, however, the delicious flavorful part we eat and enjoy now are the arts, the extra-curriculars, without which, there would be no point to growing apples at all. In other words, you can’t have one without the other."
"I believe we are all artists in our own right, and creativity is inherent in everyone. So go dance, sing, bake, paint, build, draw, learn a language, learn a new skill, cook, play a sport, play an instrument, perform, create and make the most of every opportunity to keep the cycle of learning and creating going and growing within yourself!"
Ms. Jones - Science Teacher
"While I advise people on the long-term goal of retirement, remembering to live in the present is even more important. Collect experiences, not things. Travel and exploration will broaden your mind. You can do things you don't think you are capable of and the memories last a lifetime."
Mrs. Luppino - High School Secretary
"What a pleasure it's been getting to meet so many of you while working in the high school office all these years. It's always impressed me with how quickly many of you are to smile and say, 'Thank you and have a nice day!' as you leave the office. Your manners and friendliness give me great hope for the future! Whether I've met you or not, I wish all of you a bright future. Dream big!!!"
Mr. Martin - Custodian
"Always remember that you will make mistakes. I say that pencils were made with two ends, one to write with and the other being an eraser, which helps us correct our mistakes. We were meant to make mistakes, and that is why there is an eraser. Celebrate your successes and let the eraser worry about the mistakes! Bless your travels."
