Senior Reese Squilla went searching for some former graduates to see what and how they are doing since they left CVA. Here is what they had to say:

Since graduation I have attended Continental School of Beauty in Syracuse for my esthetics license. I do recommend the Albany continental over Syracuse because they offer more learning opportunities. After getting my license I started doing my own waxing and brows business from home, and I am looking for a salon job as well. I enjoy my trade and have made good life-long friends and business connections along the way. Currently, I don’t make money, although I do get tipped from clients coming to the school for services. It is a 9-5 job, adult learning, and five days a week. It’s a lot of responsibility, but it really helped me grow as a person. I still talk to a few of my high school friends. We all have our own paths right now, but we keep in touch.

Benicio is following his dreams and creating movies. Here is a sample of a movie he most recently created in one of his classes:

Since graduation I have played soccer at MVCC and I am just finishing up my first semester. I am majoring in childhood education and I plan on becoming a 6th grade teacher. I enjoy school and my major, and I have made lots of new friends here. I currently have a job at Sorrento’s to pass the time for right now. I don’t talk to many people from high school anymore, but only because of how much all of our lives have changed.

Since graduation I have not attended college. Rather, I’ve continued into the workforce, and am currently working two jobs while taking various night courses through Munson Williams Proctor Arts Institute to further my knowledge in jewelry making and fine arts. Life after high school has been extremely refreshing and I’m confident that the steps and choices I’ve made since graduation will be of great benefit in my future. There are still a few people from high school I remain close with, but for the most part everyone has started down their separate paths.
