Dependent (Paired) Samples t-test

Also known as the paired-difference t-test.

The matched-pairs design is a simple example of a Randomized Block Design (see also Randomized Complete Block Design), where each pair of subjects forms a block.

Assumptions

The observations (here, the differences) are randomly selected from a population distribution that is normally distributed.
