Find a rectangular bar of aluminum with an empty slot. The bar must be 1 inch in length, 2 inches in width, and 0.0625 inches thick. The bar must at least be 36 inches. 

The machine you will be using is the ShopSabre.

Follow the instructions provided in these links to turn on the machine.

These should also be found on paper next to the machine

On the far right of the machine table, there is CNC tube fixture. This is where your machining will take place.

10. Check to see if the 5609a 1/8 in upcut bit is in the spindle. If it is not, instal the bit in the spindle.

11. remove the spindle nut and install the 5609a in the bit holder

12. Install the nut with the tool and make sure not to cross thread the spindle. 

13. Click Tool HT (tool height) to set the offset for the tool. (For some reason you usually have to click it twice.

Push the tool to the back using the up button on the keyboard. Then, turn on the E-stop.

Place piece of extrusion into tube fixture

Make sure the piece is flush against the fixture. If not remove the piece and vacuum underneath or untighten the mighty bites and move it around until it is. 

Tighten bolts in mighty bites (hexagonal piece with a bolt) with a green allen key

Set Z Zero by using the instructions in this document.

Set the home by typing the code G0 H2

The bit should then be at the bottom left corner of the bar. 

Select Open in the toolbar of the shopsabre software

On the Desktop, Find the Master Grid Files folder

Click the one that say Horizontal

Click the green button in the top left program to start. 

Once the program has finished running, use the same green allen key and untighten all the might bites.

Place extrusion piece (top closest to you) in the fixture like above.

Move mighty bites up 2 holes.

Tighten mighty bites with green allen key. 

Make sure extrusion is flush again fixture. 

Reset Z Zero by using the instructions in this document.

Select Open in the toolbar of the ShopSabre software

On the Desktop, Find the Master Grid Files folder

Select the Vertical program

Click the green button in the top left program to start. 

Cut!
