Cut and Tap T-Slotted Extrusion

In this section we will make the Square of the FIRST logo out of a piece of 1 inch T-sloted Extrusion. You will CAD the part, add the tapped hole and then cut the part on the horizontal band saw and tap it in the vice.

Cutting With Bandsaw

Here you will learn how to use the Innovation Lab bandsaw. Gravity does all the cutting for this machine. All you have to do is make sure you piece is lined up with the saw and tightly secured. Remember! Always have your safeties on, and be careful when picking up your freshly cut piece because it is hot off the saw.

Tapping Tutorial

Here you will learn how to tap your square. Always apply magic tap to easily drill through your piece, and make sure you put the cap back on. Fair warning, it smells like cinnamon.
