For this activity students will CAD a Name Tag. The name tag has a hole for a hook and is used to mark that a printer is in use by the owner of the tag. The Tag hangs on the hook next to the printer. At the end of the print, the new part and the tag are placed in the accompanying bin so that they can be retrieved at a later time.
For this exercise students who have already developed some CAD skills can just reference the Mechanical Drawing below and use it to create their tag. Otherwise, at the bottom of this page, students can follow along with the video tutorial. Once the 3D model is complete, follow along with the standard setup and print procedure to print your tag.
Once you have completed the CAD for your printer tag, follow along with the Standard Setup and Print (Prusa MK3S+) tutorial to export and print your tag.
