Locker Name Plate

Overview

In project, you will CAD and Manufacture a decorative Name Plate to hang on your locker, bedroom door, or anywhere else you want. The point of the nameplate is to begin to develop CAD, CAM and Manufacturing skills. Finished design will look like the design to the right. Through this process, you will utilize the following equipment:

3D printer
Laser Cutter
Mini Lathe
Horizontal and Vertical Band Saw
CNC Router
Hand Taps

For each section, parts will first be made in CAD then they will be manufactured in one of the labs.

Name Plate

Using the 3D Printer, Create a Name Plate.

PVC Ring

Using the Mini Lathe, Create the Circle.

8020 Square

Using the Horizontal Band Saw, Create the Square.

Acrylic Triangle

Using the Laser Cutter, Create the Triangle.

Mounting Plate

Using the CNC Router, Create the Mounting Plate.

Tap and Assemble

Using the Tap, Assemble the Locker Plate.
