Which liquid will the eggs shrink more in?
If I put the egg in coke, it will shrink faster than with fanta, or sprite.
3 eggs
3 different liquids; fanta, coke, sprite.
3 cups
A big bowl.
Vinegar.
Gather Materials.
Get vinegar and pour it in a large bowl.
Place the eggs in the vinegar and make sure each egg is nicely separated.
Measure the eggs to be able to compare the shrinkage and/or growth at the end.
Pour the different liquids into their respective cups.
Put one egg in each cup with different liquids.
Watch them shrink and swell and see which one grows faster/more. Be sure to measure the eggs at the end to monitor the growth/shrinkage.
Repeat for a total of 3 trials.
Dependent Variable- The different liquids.
Independent Variable- The eggs shrinking.
Constant- The amount of liquids, the egg type, the amount of liquid, and the amount of eggs.
My results were that the egg in sprite shrunk more. The egg in coke shrunk the least. The egg in Fanta shrunk more than the one in coke. My hypothesis was that the egg in coke would shrink more. Surprisingly, it didn't and the egg in sprite ended up being the one that shrunk the most.
In this section, the student will reflect on their hypothesis and state whether they were correct or not. The paragraph should include:

Brief description of procedures
In this experiment, I was testing which liquid will make the eggs shrink more, or less. In my experiment I tested 3 things. Coke, Sprite, Fanta. My problem statement was “Which liquid will the eggs shrink more in?”. That was my problem statement. My hypothesis was also incorrect. My hypothesis was that it would shrink more in coke, but surprisingly it didn’t.
My procedures started off easy. The first step was to get the eggs. Then, you get a pretty large bowl, and pour some vinegar in. Next, put the eggs in the bowl, and make sure the eggs are pretty separated. Once I did this, I had to wait 24-48 hours just for this one step. Once this step is done, you take out the eggs and make sure you don’t drop them. Next, pour the three different liquids into their respective cups. Carefully, put the eggs into the cups. Then wait overnight, or 24 hours. Make sure you measure the eggs before, and after to see if they shrunk or not.
The major findings in this experiment are the liquids, and the first step. The first step is extremely important because that's what you need to do beforehand. If you don't do that step, you can't conduct the rest of the experiment. Then you have to obviously start off with the liquids, which is also a major part of the experiment. The liquids are what will make the eggs shrink, and is what you will go by. All of these things can be used in daily life. People drink liquids, such as soda everyday. Also, vinegar and eggs are also things people use. All of my tests proved that the egg in Sprite, shrunk more than the eggs in Fanta, and Coke. The eggs in Coke, shrunk less than Fanta, or Sprite, so it shrunk the least.
People eat eggs all the time. People drink sodas, and many things in my project as well are used for daily life. My project is environmental.
