Which diaper absorbs the most water Pampers, Huggies or Up & Up diapers?
If I pour water in a Pampers brand diaper, then it will be more absorbent than Huggies brand diaper and Up & Up brand diapers.
3 Pampers brand diapers
3 Huggies brand diapers
3 Up & Up brand diapers
12 cups of water
Gather materials.
Pour one cup of water in each diaper. Observe and record results.
Repeat the same process, pouring one cup of water at a time.
With each round of water, observe the absorbency of each diaper and if it starts to leak.
Repeat until all diapers begin to leak.
Record the amount of water poured into each diaper.
Then I will repeat all steps for a total of 3 trials.
Dependent Variable: The different diaper brands; Pampers brand diapers, Huggies brand diapers, and Up & Up brand diapers.
Independent Variable: Is how much liquid you can add to see the liquids capacity.
Constant: Is the amount of water.
My results are that Pampers brand diaper was the most absorbent pamper then Huggies brand diaper and Up & Up brand diapers.
Which brand of diapers absorbs the most water Pampers, Huggies, or Up & Up diapers? My hypothesis was, if I pour water into a Pampers brand diaper then it will be more absorbent than the Huggies brand diaper and Up & Up brand diapers. I was writing about my hypothesis, that Pampers would absorb the most water and I was correct. My procedures were to gather my materials then pour one cup of water into each diaper, then I keep doing this until the diapers leaked. Then I repeated this experiment for a total of 3 trials.
My problem statement was which brand of diapers absorbs the most water Pampers diapers, Huggies diapers, and Up & Up diapers. My hypothesis was, if I pour water into a Pampers diaper, then it will be more absorbent than a Huggies brand diaper and Up & Up diapers. My hypothesis was correct because while I was doing my experiment, Pampers absorbed more water than Huggies and Up & Up.
My procedures were to gather my materials then to pour one cup of water into each diaper. Then I will repeat the same process of pouring one cup at a time until one of the diapers starts to leak. While I'm doing the experiment I'm observing each diaper to see if the diaper starts to leak. I will also be monitoring how much water I pour into each diaper. Then once I finish the first trial I will repeat this two more times for a total of three trials.
My major finding was that Pampers was more absorbent than Huggies and Up & Up diapers . These were the results, the Pampers could have had a better material and a more absorbent substance to hold the water. These findings could be used in a day to day life by knowing how much your child goes to the bathroom so you can get a bigger size, and it also helps by knowing which is the best brand of diapers you should buy for your kid. This experiment can be improved by using a different liquid like a thicker liquid, other than water.
You can use this experiment in your day to day life to help you pick the perfect diaper. When your shopping for diapers you will know which is the best diaper you should buy. If you have a friend who has a baby you can tell them which is the best diaper they should buy. This will definitely be helpful for a family who has babies that use diapers.
