Will a plant grow faster if it is inside or outside?
If I water the inside and outside plant with the same amount of water, then the outside plant will grow faster because it will have more sunlight.
2 Malanga plants, same size, already planted.
1 4oz cup (one cup for each plant each day)
Gather the materials.
Put a Malanga plant inside and a Malanga plant outside. Make sure to put the indoor plant in front of a window or door.
Water the plants with a 4oz cup everyday. Make sure that the plant has a 48oz cup holding the soil/plant.
Wait and take pictures of the plants as well as measure their growth.
Compare which one grew bigger.
Continue this process for 21 days.
Repeat all these steps for a total of 3 trails.
Independent- the environment the plant is being grown in.
Dependent- is the growth of the plants.
Constants- type of plant, the soil I used ,the pot used and how much of the liquid it receives.
This is all the information you collected in your experiment. Here you will place your pictures and graphs.

The outside plant grew more than the inside plant.
My problem statement was will a plant grow faster if it is inside or outside? My hypothesis was If I water the inside and outside plant with the same amount of water, then the outside plant will grow faster because it will have more sunlight.
After running this experiment for three times, the hypothesis was approved. I took the plants outside, taking the sunlight and with the same water as the plants inside, and grew better. The environment outside promoted the plant growth and increased its strength and quality. The chart below shows all collected data and how the plants outside in red color grew more than plants inside in color blue. So, the habit impacted the condition of the plant: the growth.
The purpose of my experiment was to show if plants will grow faster inside or outside? The problem statement was will a plant grow faster if it is inside or outside? My hypothesis was “because the inside plant grew 6.5 centimeters in total and the outside plant grew 7 centimeters in total” My hypothesis was correct. My procedures were to gather all the materials, put a plant inside and a plant outside, water the plants a 4 oz cup everyday, take pictures of the plants inside and outside, compare which one grew bigger, continue this process for 21 days, and repeat the steps 3 times.
In the first week, the inside plant grew 1 centimeter and the outside plant grew 2 centimeters. In the second week, the inside plant grew 3 more centimeters and the outside plant grew 3 more centimeters than the first week. In the third week, the inside plant grew 2.5 more centimeters and the outside plant grew 2 more centimeters than the second week. I found out that the outside plant starts to bloom up when it is sunny, but blooms down when it is hot/cold day.
The outside plant started to bloom down because it didn’t get as much sunlight in the other days where the sun was out. These findings can be used to help other people wanting to do the same experiment because if you live in a cold area then maybe it will have side effects and it will not give you the same results. This experiment can be improved by doing this in the summer season, more weeks, more hot weather, and time to grow the plant.
This experiment can be used in the day to day life by using it in farms. Farmers need to know where to put their plants.
