This is the question that you will be studying.
Will putting coffee in a plant affect it's growth?
If I put coffee in a daisy, then it will grow more then the daisy without coffee.
2 Daisy seeds
4 cups of soil
Coffee specifically expreso and you need about 3 teaspoons
3 teaspoons of water
Two small pots
gather materials
get both pots and put 4 cups of soil in both pots
Open the pack of seeds
get the seed and dig a little hole for the seed in the dirt
put the seed in the little hole you dug up
cover up the hole you dug up
make About 3 teaspoons of coffee or enought to fit in a coffee cup then pour the 3 teaspoons of coffee in one of the pots daily
In the other pot pour 3 teaspoons of water
Then watch it grow
measure the plant growth daily
then do it 2 more times
Dependent Variable-Coffee and Water
Independent Variable- the quickness of the plant growth
Constant -Same amount of coffee and water, same pot, same amount of sunlight, and same amount of soil
This is all the information you collected in your experiment. Here you will place your pictures and graphs.

My Hypothesis was correct, coffee does affect a plants growth
Putting coffee in a plant does affect its growth. The plant with water started growing first and is still growing, but the one with coffee hasn’t started to grow yet. Which means my hypothesis was correct. Now I know that putting coffee in a plant will definitely affect its growth so do not add coffee to a plant because it will not grow. I think that the reason it didn’t grow was because I used coffee that you drink and when I did my research I found out that gardeners used grinded coffee. Now I know that watering a plant with coffee will ruin its growth.
My problem statement was, “Will putting coffee in a plant affect its growth?” and my hypothesis was “If I add coffee to a daisy, then it will affect its growth. I was correct, coffee did affect its growth. The plant I watered with water started growing and the one with coffee hasn’t started to grow. Which means you should never water a plant with coffee and water it with water. The purpose of my experiment was to see if you could add coffee to a plant, which you can’t, because it won’t grow.
As the days past the daisy with water started to grow and is still growing, but the one with coffee hasn’t. I made sure to water each daisy with either coffee or water and leave it outside for the plant to have sunlight. Everytime I would go outside and check on the plants I would first check the plant with coffee because I wanted to see if it would start to grow but so far it hasn’t. While I was researching I saw that gardeners used grinded coffee to help it grow, while I used coffee we drink. If I made coffee with beans, like how the gardeners did it, then it would have grown.
This could be useful because when you want to grow a plant and accidently drop coffee in it and you start wondering, will it affect its growth? you can say yes it will.
