How does the container effect the "explosiveness" of elephant toothpaste
If I do the experiment in a flask with a 2 inch opening. It will go up higher than in a water bottle and a cup
Hydrogen Peroxide
Dish soap
Catalyst
Place one of the containers on a smooth area with a tarp
Put in 1/2 cup of h2o2 in the container
Put 2 tablespoons of dish soa in the container with the h2o2
Put in at least 2 teaspoons of potassium iodide
Dependent Variable:the type of bottle
Independent Variable:the "explosiveness"of elephant toothpaste
Constant the amout of materials in each container
This is all the information you collected in your experiment. Here you will place your pictures and graphs.

what occurred with yeast:when I was searching why the reaction occurs I found out that it is due to the dish soap capturing the foam that is formed when you put yeast into h2o2 making its slow process to water happen almost instantly.
What happened with the potassium Iodide:The same thing occured but it went up a bit further up
My hypothesis was correct about the bottles (the 2 inch bottle being better that the other 2)due to them going about quarter inch to 2 inches when I was using a flask that looks like those commonly used (those gave better than last time). Also it was incredibly hot due to it releasing heat as a byproduct (200 degrees to be exact).I’m sure glad I didn’t burn myself even though I did touch it.This experiment has taught me that science is great and dangerous at the same time.
How does the container affect the “explosiveness” of elephant toothpaste? It does affect the experiment in plenty of ways ,that is if you used a classic flask . My hypothesis was kind of correct with the containers due to the 250 Liter flask going up rather high (2-3 inches)compared with the others(1 inch). This experiment was really fun(and messy) to do.First we get any container(erlenmeyer flasks work best),next you get any percentage of hydrogen peroxide(30% works best) and pour half a cup of it into a flask, then pour in a tablespoon of dish soap(any kind works). Pour in a catalyst(1 teaspoon of yeast,10 Milliliters of Potassium Iodide, etc). Then if you put all the ingredients in,and in case if you made the opening too small,it is best for you to cover your eyes unless you got safety goggles on(it goes all confetti)
Based on the results of this experiment, the flask size doesn’t really affect how far up it goes but the size of the opening affected it quite a lot.if there is a bit too much h2o2,the flask might break so be careful with this experiment. This has taught me that the classic flasks are just as cool as in the movies, and that Hydrogen peroxide .Also that in each test there was FOAM in each H2O2 flask.
This can’t be used in life to solve problems besides boredom, and can be used if you are trying to go for a world record like Mark Rober for example. The world record by the way is about 290 gallons of Hydrogen Peroxide on Mark Rober’s channel, but the real record is about 500 gallons on Mr.Beast’s channel.Mr.beast did a prank on his brother by filling his house with elephant toothpaste while his brother was covering one of Mr.Beast’s friends with sticky notes and due to the E.T being hard to clean and caused damage,he got his brother a new House. These 2 YouTubers were what inspired me to do this experiment.
It won't help out in life that much unless you are trying to get a world record on elephant toothpaste.Or if you are a science youtuber.
