BCBA/ABA Consultation
What is BCBA/ABA Consultation?
We accept referrals from school psychologists, special education coordinators, and supervisors. If your position does not fit into this description, please reach out to your school psychologist for more information.
We can help with almost anything related to applied behavior analysis (ABA) from a consultative stand point. This includes direct and indirect consultation (e.g., staff training, skill acquisition programming, functional assessment, and more!). Refer to our consultation brochure for details. To make a referral, contact Dr. Kristen Niemeyer, BCBA, COBA.
If you are seeking BCBA consultation to address a specific student’s behavioral needs, please take a look at the referral process outlined below. Please keep in mind that our referrals generally target complex behavioral needs for students who currently receive special education support/services.
If you are seeking classroom wide support or building wide training, please complete a Behavior Specialist Referral Form. Please do NOT complete both a referral to Kristen and the Behavior Specialists at the same time! Please direct any questions regarding Behavior Specialist Referrals to Erin Stoliker or Holly Wingler.

If seeking help in reducing challenging behaviors, include a description of 1-2 Problem Behaviors of concern (See Operational Definition Examples).
Student Schedule (Please indicate when defined challenging behaviors typically occur)
Attach other relevant information (BIP, FBA, ETR, IEP, 504, Diagnoses, etc.)
Once we receive your referral email, we will review the information and get back to you to let you know how we plan to proceed (e.g., next steps). Our response may take up to 5 business days. Once the referral is processed, we will need your help to obtain parent permission for BCBA Consultation and to collect any necessary information. The school team will be asked to collect data/provide information as well. We will provide a parent permission form and cover letter describing the process.
Depending on the case, we will observe the student and collect direct assessment data, after we receive the necessary information from staff.
As we wrap up, the school team will be provided with a consultation summary of ABA recommendations.
