Students are required to complete at least two Health units over the two years of 9&10. Students can choose to complete any of the Physical Education units offered. Health and Physical Education subjects run on a two year cycle.

Practical fitness based sessions are completed each week to allow students to apply concepts from the theory component of the class (roughly 60% practical and 40% theory

How can I can improve skills and implement tactics to improve personal and team performance in traditional sports such as AFL, soccer, netball, basketball and cricket?
What roles do the musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory and energy systems play in movement, physical activity, fitness and sport?

Practical sessions for the sports listed above consisting of skill development, drills and games (roughly 60% practical and 40% theory)

Students will complete written tests or respond to case studies for each of the topics.
Students will be assessed on their practical participation throughout the semester with a focus on skill development, tactical awareness, leadership, participation and preparedness.
Students will alternate between weeks, completing two practical activities in one week then one the next

Students will complete a practical activity each week. Practical activities are aimed at; building knowledge of theory content, giving opportunities to develop teamwork & leadership skills, connecting with local environments
