2025 VET at Cobram Secondary College
In 2025, Cobram Secondary College students will be provided with opportunities to undertake VET courses through a variety of providers including; through partnerships with local industry groups, school delivered VET program and through external TAFE providers. VET courses are open to Year 11 & 12 VCE or vocational students and, with approval, Year 10 students.
Additional VET offerings are available through external providers (as per the VET program chart below). For more information on applying for these VET subjects please see Maria Hart
During course counselling, students will complete an expression of interest to complete a VET course. The VET courses that run in 2025 will be subject to student numbers and trainer availability
The majority of VET courses are two year programs. In some courses and circumstances, students may be able to commence a VET course for the second year of the course, and complete course units in the opposite order to existing students. Students may only be approved to do this after speaking with the course trainer
In 2025 all school based VET courses will run for a full day on a Wednesday.
There is a limited opportunity for Year 9 & 10 students to do an 'Introduction to Vet' subject as part of their core blocks. Areas offering this opportunity are Cookery and Auto. These subjects should be chosen as part of a students selection of core subjects.
