On Wednesday, October 22, 2025, all 10th grade students will take the PreACT, a state-required assessment that provides a valuable preview of the ACT. The PreACT predicts future ACT performance, helps guide high school course planning, and offers insights into academic strengths and areas for growth. It also includes career readiness indicators to support students in planning for their futures.
Exams will be administered digitally. Students must bring their fully charged CMS Chromebook on test day. In addition, they should bring two No. 2 pencils and a personal calculator. Please ensure your student arrives on time so testing can begin promptly.
Students who receive separate setting accommodations will report directly to the Media Center on test days instead of their advisory class. These students will receive specific instructions prior to testing.

As communicated previously, we will not be making schedule changes. School counselors will not be able to accommodate elective changes that students selected during course registration. If there is a conflict or issue, we ask that students email their assigned counselor directly.
Appropriate Reasons to email counselor:
The schedule is incomplete with less than eight courses.
There are courses listed that have previously been awarded credit.
A course requires a prerequisite that has not been completed.
The same course is listed more than once on the schedule.
Courses are listed out of order (ie. Spanish 2 1st semester, and Spanish 1 2nd semester).
There is a course needed for Promotion (9th-11th), or Graduation (12th).
