Hello!

What a beautiful weekend! I hope that means spring is here to stay!

Thank you to everyone who donated to the Easter Seals Campaign for our crazy hat and hair day. We will have another fundraiser put on by the "Cool Kids" group this Friday. It will be P.J day.

Ms. O's offical last day is Friday April 24 but she has a few days to make up from illness. So she will be with us until the 29th of April. We are now learning about community in Social Studies and we are working on writing short stories during writing time. 

Math Homework: We are sending home a 3D shape hunt. Students can look around the house for cylinders, rectangular prisms, cubes, cones and spheres. They can either draw pictures of the objects or you can take a picture and send it to us with all of their objects and they can tell the class about their collection. I forgot to send the hunt home in their bags. Posted above is a picture of the sheet.

Literacy- This week we are beginning Unit 4 in Fundations. This unit with focus on the diagraphs, wh, ch, sh, th and ck. I will send  home a unit overview on Monday. I will also sent home a copy of the trick words for Unit 4. This week we will be learning,  we, she, he. I'm also going to add in the word "look" as it shows up often in the books students are reading. Last week we worked on the book My Pal Jax. I'm sending home a paper copy of the text in a white folder. This will be our reading folder. I will add new stories to it every week. Last week during review week we had a booklet of CVC words. The kids had 10 minutes each day to work on them. Some have finsihed and some haven't. We are sending them home today. For those who haven't finished it would be good for practising at home.
