Hi everyone,Â
We had a full busy week in KD. We have finished the first half of unit 1 in Fundations. This week will be testing week. If you have time over the weekend you can practice printing the letters that we have learned so far. It is important to follow the verbal pathways on the sheets that I sent home at the beginning of each week. After I finish testing I will look at their results and decide if anyone should participate in Tier 2 with Mrs. Cummings or Mrs. MacDonald. I will let you know on Friday if your child will be receiving extra support.
For Halloween, students are allowed to wear their costumes to school. Please leave any accessories at home so that there is not a panic when children get home if something is left at school. No masks or play weapons allowed. We will have a small party in the morning after recess and then the children will participate in "Spooktacular" during their gym class next week. We will also do a parade of the classes with our costumes on. I will be providing cookies for the children. If anyone else wants to bring something please let me know.
Math: We will continue to work on games to solidify our knowledge of numbers to 5 and we will add in some fun Halloween patterns.
