Trip to El Olam

The Grade 1 students embarked on a thrilling and unforgettable trip to El Olam that left them beaming with excitement from start to finish. The atmosphere was filled with contagious enthusiasm as they eagerly set off on their trip. The drive alone was an adventure in itself.

Once the children arrived, unpacked, and settled in, they made their way to the dam on foot. They were delighted to spot various types of transport en route, triggering their knowledge learnt during our theme-related lessons this term. Their walk became an educational experience, sparking their imaginations and igniting conversations about different modes of farming transport.

One of the highlights of the trip was archery, where the Grade 1s discovered the joy of aiming for a target and cheering each other on. The children embraced the challenge, concentrating on their aim with determined expressions and celebrating each successful shot. Next, they eagerly took on a muddy obstacle course that tested their agility and perseverance.

As the sun began to set and the cold snuck in, the children gathered around a cozy bonfire with a warm cup of hot chocolate. They listened attentively as a story was shared.

This was a Grade 1 trip filled with joy, adventure, and valuable learning experiences.
