Term 2 ended off on an absolute high with the Expressive Arts taking centre stage! Not only did the ‘stars’ come out in the Gr 4 & 5 Rendition of “Shrek”, but we also saw many of our musicians ‘strutting their stuff’ at the SP Recital.

Mr Chapatha put together a wonderful programme, showcasing the musical talents of our Clifton children. The programme ranged from individuals playing violin, guitar, piano, saxophone, drums as well as groups of children singing like angels.

The Grade 7 singing group had the audience on their feet dancing to their beautiful melody. The humble Mr Chapatha showed his true colours as he demonstrated his ‘pantsula’ dance moves. What a wonderful show of Clifton spirit and talent.

We are so excited about the growth that is happening in our Expressive Arts Department. The number of children taking individual music lessons has grown from 43 in Term 1 to 57 in Term 2. Our dream is to see every Clifton child playing a musical instrument.

With this display of talent together with the imminent return of the Clifton SP Choir, we are so excited about the future of music at our school.
