This term we have been pratising our skills in Hockey. Here are some pictures of us practising our dribbling skills.
Primary 5 have been learning about the Jacobites. We were learning how to use an Atlas. We used the Atlas to help us plot the points on a map of the route the Jacobites took down to Derby and then their retreat back to Culloden. We had to use the meta-skill of focusing.
Primary 5 were superstars! We took part in circle time activities.
We were learning to develop our active listening skills and build friendships with our classmates.
This is our friendship web. We said something we like and passed the ribbon on to someone who liked the same thing, this continued to make our web. It shows how we are all connected!
We had great fun having our own sorting ceremony to find our which houses we belong in.
We are learning about engineering, teamwork, and problem-solving as part of a STEM challenge. Specifically, we are learning how to design and build stable, free-standing structures.
We were working in groups to build the highest free-standing tower we could, using limited materials and time. When doing this task, pupils used the meta-skills of creativity to come up with different tower designs, critical thinking to solve problems with balance, and collaboration to work effectively within a group.
We had a fantastic day at Culloden Battlefield! We got the chance to learn more about the Jacobites and explore the Battlefield.
Odd Socks day for Anti-byllying week
Christmas Party! We had a fab time at our Christmas party. We included a couple of traditional Scottish Dances that we had been learning in term 2; Strip the Willow, Gay Gordons and Military Two-step.
We perfromed a song about the Wise Men.
