Having a change of clothing is helpful as the children have such a lot of fun making a mess, puddle jumping, painting, exploring with water etc.
For the wet days having wellies, warm jacket and soon as the weather grows colder gloves, hat, scarf. Please label your childs items and cheaper ones are better as sometimes children get upset, if they lose favourite ones. Socks are also handy as they often get wet.
Remember the children get snack mid morning and also mid afternoon. At lunchtime we can offer milk/water as this can help to make things easier for you. Please could you cut the grapes in half to prevent choking.
Please can you remember NOT to put in anything in lunch boxes that contain nuts, we have a couple of children with severe allergies to nuts and we want to keep them safe. It is a big concern to parents and staff, and we will welcome your support.
If you need to speak to any member of staff in the nursery, we are always happy to arrange a suitable time, keeping us all safe.
This week has also seen us discuss fireworks and being safe, we have made some amazing pictures with leaves, and paint. We have an outside gallery which is on the side of the shed beside the drop off door. There is also a lovely range of pictures of the children having fun in the garden, the colours are stunning and of course our beautiful children.
16th Nov
The children have enjoyed a story about robots, and wish to explore that by making various robots, thinking about how they work and what they do for us. This can also be a great opportunity to discuss shapes and colours using junk modelling. The children have some magnificent ideas to find out about and explore.
Christmas will be coming upon us before we know it, so the children will be learning new makaton signs to go with rhymes. This is super for building their vocabulary and confidence to communicate in various ways.

The wind was blowing our shelter
The children had great fun running and catching the billowing top.
This was us taking a minute to remember 11th Nov at 11am
We are having a wee chat in our shelter.
The children have contributed in lots of different ways, drawings, models, talking and listening.
During story time we think about how characters feel and how we may feel in their shoes.
Learning to name emotions and how others feel is key to developing good social and communication skills.

Hamper Raffle raised about £200. It was won by Jehosheba and Tosia, well done and thanks for all the support.
Christmas lunch was delicious and staff ate, with the children, who were amazed that teachers eat!!
We also had play dates for our new starts in January coming in to see us also the parents meeting staff. If you see any new faces at collection or drop offs, I am sure they would be delighted to feel welcomed by you. As parents are wearing masks it is really difficult to smile at one another.
Please check your emails for any updates for current openings in 2021, due to COVID19.
