This week we learned about the Eiffel Tower, designed by Gustave Eiffel and made of iron. We also found out that Gustave Eiffel helped build the Statue of Liberty!
Our model castles are really starting to take shape!Â
Last week we set up an experiment to show what would happen to apple slices if they were placed in a solution similar to the type used in the mummification process. The results showed that the mummified apple was much lighter than the one left on the air as all the moisture had been removed. It also didn't smell as bad!
Today we have been working with our friends to solve mysteries using our maths problem solving skills. We are super sleuths!
Ancient Egyptian Pharaohs
We printed photos of ourselves
We then added a headdress and robe
We think the results are pretty amazing!
Over the past 2 weeks we have been working on using speech marks and adding dialogue to our stories. As an introduction we have been creating comic strips both digitally and on paper. We really enjoyed using Storyboard Creator today!
This term we are working on measure. We had fun using different measuring equipment to measure the playground, classroom objects and even each other!
Today we found out how and why the pyramids were built. We then had a go at making our own pyramids using our engineering skills!Â
