PSHE

Much delivery of PSHE in the Sixth Form is through tutorial time, intervention sessions and in particular the lectures. Tutorial time takes place each morning, interspersed with assemblies, and forms a key part of students’ time in school. It allows for the development of their personal and social skills, and provides opportunities for them to work with younger students as well through our mentoring programme as well. Students in both Year 12 and Year 13 attend a weekly lecture as part of their curriculum and topics covered include a wide range of current affairs and ethical issues. Intervention sessions cover subjects such as road safety, health issues and sex education. If you do not wish your child to attend any session relating to sex education please contact the Sixth Form Office in the first instance.
