Code of Conduct
For life at Challoner’s to run smoothly we need to treat each other with mutual respect. Both staff and students share responsibility for creating a positive learning environment. We expect everybody including students, staff and visitors to abide by the following code:
To behave responsibly
To be polite and considerate
To be supportive of each other
To demonstrate respect for other people
To treat people equally irrespective of race, religion, gender, sexuality and ability
To avoid the use of abusive language, threats or physical violence towards other people
To wear the appropriate school uniform
To understand that mobile phones are disruptive, and to avoid their use everywhere on the school site except in the Sixth Form Centre
To respect the school’s environment
To abide by the school’s no tolerance policy on smoking, drugs and alcohol
To take personal responsibility for the health and safety of yourself and all those around you
Challoner’s is committed to providing an environment in which students can learn effectively. To help us achieve this we also expect the following from students:
To take your commitment as a student seriously and remember that you are here to learn and to achieve
To attend all your timetabled commitments on time
To meet all given deadlines
To abide by school and examination rules
In summary, you will do all you can to fulfil your academic potential and to actively contribute to maintaining a tidy, happy and pleasant atmosphere in and around Challoner’s.
