Scholars took on the role of future astronomers to evaluate and communicate observations about time patterns. Scholars investigated to identify objects in the day and night sky and recognize the changes that occur as day turns into night and night turns into day. Scholars were then tasked with developing individual models of the day and night sky. After creating their models, scholars used their work to guide their teachers through developing a class model to communicate the changes that occur in the sky during the day, as day turns into night. Each kindergarten class’ model was compiled into one video to demonstrate the change from day to night. After creating models of the day and night sky, scholars listened to and described music to decide what would be daytime vs. nighttime music.
